Head Of Logistics & Plb Department

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

The Head of Logistics and Pusat Logistik Berikat (PLB) Department is a strategic leadership role that reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of warehouse, logistics operations, as well as PLB and PPJK (Pengusaha Pengurusan Jasa Kepabeanan) activities.

The role requires a blend of strategic planning, operational excellence, and team management skills to ensure seamless coordination of inbound and outbound logistics processes, compliance with customs regulations, and optimization of warehouse operations.

1. Strategic Planning and Oversight:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance efficiency in warehouse management and logistics operations.
• Oversee the PLB and PPJK processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and timely clearance of imported goods.

2. Warehouse Management:

• Ensure strict adherence to warehouse management procedures and best practices.
• Oversee the incoming parts and tools inspection process, ensuring compliance with shipping, customs, and certification requirements.
• Manage inventory tracking and documentation, including inputting data into warehouse systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Coordinate the repacking, labeling, and storage of incoming parts and tools, optimizing warehouse space.
• Facilitate the issuance of parts to the Base & Line Maintenance Department and ensure the timely receipt and labeling of removal parts.
• Supervise the preparation and packing of parts/materials for outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations.

3. Vendor and Customer Communication:

• Coordinate with vendors and customers to arrange deliveries and respond to inquiries.
• Generate requests for quotations to freight forwarders for imported shipments, in alignment with procurement or customer requirements.
• Communicate with third-party providers (e.g., HDL, FEDEX, Flight Forwarders, and couriers) to ensure timely and accurate logistics support.

4. Logistics Operations:

• Monitor and respond to email inquiries regarding spare parts delivery schedules for maintenance purposes.
• Supervise shipment notification emails for imported goods and ensure timely processing.
• Utilize IT inventory systems to approve and manage all import and export documents.
• Collaborate with Finance Departments to ensure accurate and timely invoicing for logistics services.
• Control and manage the logistics team, providing leadership, guidance, and support as needed.

5. Customs Clearance and Documentation:

• Address and resolve issues related to PLB or customs officers, ensuring smooth operations.
• Facilitate the processing of customs clearance for imported goods.
• Oversee and ensure the inbound and outbound documents, including BC 1.6, BC 2.7, BC 2.8, and BC 3.0 forms, as required.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customs and excise officers, addressing any obstacles or inquiries promptly.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics operations, and customs clearance and PLB administration.
3. Demonstrated English proficiency in verbal and written.
4. Experience working in the aviation or aerospace industry.
5. Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory systems, and warehouse management software.
6. Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures, particularly in the context of import/export activities.
7. On-hand experience dealing with Customs personnel.
8. Certification in Customs Clearance (e.g., PPJK certification) or relevant professional accreditation.
9. Leadership and influencing skills - has stature, credibility, and respect at all levels.
