Job summary
Oversee purchase and delivery of production and logistics equipmentDevelop guidelines and SOPs for buying, hiring, maintenance, and supply of plant production assetsBuild relationships with vendors/contractors and negotiate purchase agreements
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Oversee purchase and delivery of all production and logistics equipment• Develop guidelines and SOPs for buying, hiring, maintenance, and supply of all plant production assets• Monitor expenses, introduce cost control measures, and evaluate Buying vs Hiring options• Review technical specifications/requirements for all RFPs• Build relationships with vendors/contractors and manage service contracts• Oversee storage of equipment & spare parts and logistics requirements• Negotiate purchase agreements with suppliers• Review and expedite purchase of assigned materials• Oversee equipment maintenance schedule and liaise with manufacturers• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing heads for equipment maintenance• Ensure timely payment of invoices to suppliers• Oversee mobilization and logistics processes• Review demand of materials and determine optimal stock levels• Promote a high-performance working environment within Procurement division
Requirements
• 10-12 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry with at least 6 years in a leadership role• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical• Masters Degree with specialization in Operations• Fluent in English• Understanding of Continuous operations• Understanding of Polymerization processes• Manufacturing technology & operations• Materials Procurement• Inventory Management• Logistics Management• Stores Management• Certification in MS Word, MS Excel Advanced, MS PowerPoint, and ERP Systems (SAP S4 Hana, Oracle, etc.)
