Job Description:
- Accurately process payroll for employees on a timely basis, ensuring all data is entered correctly and in compliance with company policies and relevant laws and regulations
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including but not limited to hours worked, deductions, bonuses, and leave balances.
- Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance. Process payroll taxes accurately and submit required reports to regulatory agencies as necessary
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to payroll processing, including reports, schedules, and employee records
- Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payroll processing in a timely and efficient manner. Investigate and correct payroll errors as needed
- Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and provide assistance and guidance as needed. Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll-related matters
- Work closely with other members of the HR team, as well as finance and accounting departments, to ensure seamless payroll processing and data accuracy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Proven experience working in payroll processing or a related role.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive payroll information
