Indirect Sourcing Assistance Manager

Position Summary:

Define and drive the strategic approach for all Indirect categories with cross functional stakeholders to fulfill defined KPIs. Drive the processes of indirect purchasing and ensure compliance and discipline. Seek and implement the opportunities that create significant value for the organization. Coach and develop the respective Indirect Sourcing team in Batam. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all indirect related activities and processes including but not limited Equipment, Non-standard automation, new project prototype, Consumable, Jig and Fixture, Renovation, Tools, Non-standard spare parts, Chemical, etc.
• Contribution to results, all indirect procurement activities, and related processes in conjunction with respective regional regulations to fulfil the KPIs and maximum interest to company.       
• Strategic supplier management to provide the best supplier portfolio to ensure an optimized supplier base in terms of service, cost, and quality. 
• Stakeholder Management, manage the expectation, and engage the success of business/projects with them in according to process and company guidelines. 
• Team coach and develop, ensure the team stability, sourcing risk and opportunity management and strong in Negotiation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, minimum 5 years of experience in indirect purchasing and 3 years in management role.           
• Strong ability to work under pressure, excellent communication and understanding skill and effective execution, solid skill for Microsoft Excel, good knowledge of office suite and ERP practice.
• Results oriented person with a strong delivery focus who can work independently and collaboratively with regional and global teams.
• Talent in negotiations and networking and the ability to explore and develop new supply chain networks.
• Ability to comfortably and confidently present and influence all levels within the organization and to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Excellent English skills both on reading, writing and spoken. Mandarin preferred as 3rd language.
