The main objective for the existence of the Internal Audit is to ensure effective governance, risk management, and control processes within the organization. The job is relevant to the organization as it helps identify and mitigate risks, ensures compliance with laws and regulations, safeguards assets, and enhances overall operational efficiency and effectiveness. It also provides independent assessments and recommendations to support informed decision-making by senior management and the board of directors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify the existence and quality of documentation of controls and assist in the group's internal audit process.
- Communicate audit findings to management and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track remediation actions taken by management.
- Assist in the development and execution of the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessments and management priorities.
- Provide regular updates to the audit committee on the status of internal audit activities, including audit plans, progress, and audit findings.
- Participate in special projects or investigations as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in auditing (experience in a public accounting firm is a must and additional years as an internal audit)
- Good proficiency in English
