Overall Purpose
- Manage local global software development teams and implementation of best practices
- Lead a team of delivery managers across multiple products and projects
- Ensure development processes are followed across multiple teams
- Timely and high-quality software delivery meeting requirements and following established workflow
- Work with Australia based software development manager / Senior BA to establish development teams
- Regular reporting of project progress and release and dependency planning
- Work with business stakeholders across Europe and North America following best practices and AGILE methodology to bridge gaps between requirements and development efforts.
- Setup new product-based development teams
- Work with recruiters and local HR for talent recruitment and establishment of teams
- Work with software development manager to provide regular updates to senior management regarding global products, timelines, and budget adherence
- Train individuals from the IT teams on good AGILE practices when situations arise
- Work with Senior IT management on all projects related to the establishment of additional IT capacity and software
Responsibilities
- Manage projects working with software development manager, product-based teams, and delivery managers
- Ensure all gaps between business processes and development processes are plugged
- Setup development teams based on skill requirements and roadmaps
- Manage resource pool together with IT senior management to ensure smooth product development in line with regular processes
- Assist development managers with any project management, resource management, backlog and project planning
- Identify any bottlenecks and potential challenges and work on resolving them to avoid any delays
- Coach and mentor delivery managers on best practice and guidelines
- Ensure all software release plans are detailed and agreed upon
- Perform regular resource planning with suggestions to improve team efficiency
- Work with CTO and development manager on establishment of new product development teams
- Work on IT development budgets and regular reporting
- Help local teams with any requirement gaps or leadership
- Organize product demos and testing phases during development
- Raise any concerns or suggestions to further improve efficiency
