Job Description

The Legal Department of Traveloka is seeking a highly motivated Junior Legal and Compliance Counsel to join the dynamic Legal Compliance and Regulatory Affairs team. In this role, you will need to help ensure that the organization operates within the legal framework, adheres to industry regulations, and upholds the highest standards of ethical conduct. Your primary focus will be on implementing compliance programs and efforts, strengthening regulatory area and supporting the more senior team members in general compliance, personal data protection, financial services, and ethical compliance aspects.

This Junior Legal and Compliance Counsel will be reporting to Legal and Compliance Manager and based in the Traveloka headquarter in BSD, Tangerang.

Requirements

Including in the scope of responsibilities for the Junior Legal and Compliance Counsel is to:

(i) Conduct research and assessments to ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations;

(ii) Assist the implementation of governance and proper record of Group-wide policies, procedures, and standards/guidelines;

(iii) Draft and review contracts and agreements in particular related to Government Agencies, CSR programs, and partnership;

(iv) Be responsible for the implementation of Regulatory System by ensuring compliance obligations are fulfilled by relevant stakeholders;

(vi) Perform compliance checking or screening as part of the requirements by the Regulators;

(vii) Make assessment and perform communication to stakeholders on regulations that may have impact to the Company; and

(viii) Support and arrange trainings and Compliance socialization programs.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree in Law.

2. Experience of 2-3 years handling legal matters in Law Firm or as in-house Legal in a Company.

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

4. Have exposure or experienced in handling compliance matters and understand the general compliance matters and principles.

5. Solid understanding of Indonesian corporate laws and regulations.

6. Strong analytical thinking.

7. Eager to collaborate with other Legal Counsels and business units.
