Legal And Compliance Officer

How you will make an impact in this role

As a Compliance Officer at Trusting Social, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that the organization operates in accordance with regulatory and legal requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures. This role involves developing and implementing compliance programs, conducting internal audits, and providing guidance to management and employees on compliance matters. The Compliance Officer works to prevent violations and mitigate compliance risks across all areas of the organization.

The Compliance Officer will report to and assist the Legal & Compliance Manager.

What you will do

Support the development, implementation, and management of a robust compliance program.

Foster communication and collaboration with relevant external entities, associations, and regulatory bodies.

Lead investigations and resolutions for compliance matters, addressing violations and breaches effectively.

Proactively monitor regulatory changes and ensure seamless adaptation of organizational practices.

Work closely with management to develop and enhance compliance policies and procedures.

Oversee all operational processes to ensure compliance with Legal and ethical standards across IT and non-IT domains.

Effectively manage information flow, conducting thorough compliance risk assessments to facilitate smooth business operations.

Provide comprehensive training to staff, ensuring they are well-informed about compliance guideline changes and updates.

Perform periodic assessments to evaluate policy compliance with existing regulations.

Proactively address instances of noncompliance, developing practical plans to rectify the situation.

Regularly conduct audits to identify potential weaknesses and instances of noncompliance.

Prepare and submit reports to regulatory bodies as mandated by regulations.

What you need to have 

Minimum

Bachelor's degree in Law or related field.

Minimum 2 years experience in compliance, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Hardworking and enthusiastic attitude.

Fluent in English, good interpersonal and people management skills.

Preferred 

Proven experience in developing and managing compliance programs.

In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Familiarity with ITIL and ISO 27001 is a plus.
