Duties
The Accounting/Financial section is the backbone of Library of Congress of the operations in Southeast Asia (all countries - Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam) and includes operational and program/non-operational funds (library materials) for the Library of Congress and the Cooperative Acquisition Program (CAPSEA) with approximately fifty national and academic libraries. The Jakarta office is the regional office and administers budget planning and payments from branch offices located in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Manila and Rangoon. Incumbent prepares, reviews, examines and processes all types of payments, invoices, and billings for both operational and programmatic library material funds.

Incumbent serves as primary cashier for Jakarta operation and advisor to other cashiers in branch offices.
Incumbent provides accounting support through records management and basic book-keeping in paper and electronic format.

Qualifications and Evaluations
LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge in English and Bahasa Indonesia in speaking/reading/writing. This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Attention to detail with an ability to enter data quickly and correctly in spreadsheet or database. Ability to analyze various transactions and detect errors and avoid over obligations. Ability to organize and present in clear and accurate form account1ng data. Ability to read and interpret financial instructions for cashiering and vouchering. Keyboarding ability should be standard. Speed and accuracy are required.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Indonesia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
