Log Yard Operator (Ganis Certified)

Job Duties:

• Efficiently organizing and managing the Log Yard to ensure smooth operations and logistics.
• Inspecting incoming logs for quality and quantity, and coordinating their storage and movement as per production requirements.
• Operating heavy machinery such as loaders, forklifts, and log-handling equipment to transport and stack logs safely and efficiently.
• Collaborating with forestry personnel and procurement teams to ensure a steady supply of logs while maintaining proper inventory levels.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental guidelines in the handling and storage of logs.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent educational background is often required.
• Prior experience in Log Yard operations, forestry, or related fields is advantageous.
• Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and equipment, along with knowledge of safety protocols.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic work environment.
• Familiarity with log grading and sorting techniques, as well as basic understanding of wood species and characteristics.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• GANIS Certified (mandatory)
• Willing to be placement in Tarakan (no roster system)
