KPC adalah bagian dari BUMI Resources, salah satu perusahaan tambang batu bara terbesar di Indonesia.

KPC didirikan pada tahun 1982 sebagai usaha patungan antara BP (British Petroleum) dan Rio Tinto. Operasi pertambangan dimulai pada tahun 1990 dan sejak itu telah menjadi salah satu produsen batu bara terkemuka di Indonesia.

Wilayah operasional KPC terletak di Sangatta, Kabupaten Kutai Timur, Kalimantan Timur. Perusahaan ini memiliki izin untuk mengeksplorasi dan menghasilkan batu bara dengan luas wilayah cukup besar.

PT Kaltim Prima Coal telah secara konsisten menghasilkan jutaan ton batu bara setiap tahunnya. Batu bara yang dihasilkan digunakan untuk keperluan industri energi baik dalam negeri maupun diekspor ke berbagai negara.

Sebagai perusahaan tambang batu bara terkemuka, KPC memiliki peran penting dalam industri energi Indonesia. Namun, keberadaan perusahaan ini juga terus menjadi fokus dari berbagai diskusi dan perdebatan mengenai dampak lingkungan dan sosial dari kegiatan pertambangan.

Bagian : Senior Specialist – Purchasing (SCD)

Qualifications :

• S1 in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from a reputable university with minimum 5 years
  relevant experience in purchasing area.
  Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office, SAP/Ellipse, Power BI, and Corvu. Having computer coding skills will be a great advantage.
  Sound technical knowledge of heavy equipment, including maintenance operation and spare parts.
  Comprehensive knowledge of mining support division operational processes.
  Sound knowledge of global economics situation to analyse supplier bargaining power.
  Good communication skills in Bahasa and English; as a guide, level of proficiency in English is minimum level 5.
  Good customer focus, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  Willing to monitor the work outside normal business hours.
  Good emotional control.

Key elements of the position include:

• Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate supplier quotations to produce an evaluation summary and determine the most competitive solution based on the total cost of ownership.
  Process tender, awarding Contracts/FPA, monitor implementation, and close out monitoring in conjunction with KPC policy and procedure.
  Issue a Purchase Order (PO) to the selected supplier.
  Handle emergency orders or urgent requirements and ensure prompt actions.
  Monitor critical items and suppliers’ performance against Key Performance Indicators.
  Process discrepancy settlement including liaising with end users, warehouse and logistic staffs, forwarders, suppliers, and risk management section.
  Work closely with the Store and Inventory Control Department to maintain the inventory level of critical items.
  Produce direct charge spending report; analyse the spending based on different sets of criteria; recommend parts to be included as stock items; create recommendations for cost reduction program.
  Conduct demand and market analysis on selected items; produce analysis reports and recommendations for improvement or cost-saving ideas; get support from relevant stakeholders to execute the recommendation.
  Audit colleague’s PO based on the direction of the Purchasing Superintendent.
  Build communication with users, e.g., attending regular meetings.
  Update information to users regarding the supply chain condition of the related materials and equipment.
  Actively involved in user improvement projects; bridge communication between user and supplier in conjunction with company policy.
  Improve user awareness on the company supply purchasing policy and procedure.
  Maintain good communication and relationships with key supplier personnel.
  Conduct meetings with key suppliers regularly to build long-term partnerships.
  Demonstrate and encourage conformity to and implementation of HSE regulations, policies, rules, and systems.
  Contribute to the implementation of knowledge management within the work unit by, e.g., performing coaching and knowledge sharing with peers.

General Qualifications:

• Have a TOEIC/TOEFL Certification with a minimum score of 550 for TOEIC or 493 for TOEFL
  COVID-19 vaccine certificate-full doses (up to 1st booster is welcomed)
  Have valid Certificate of Good Conduct Indonesian Police Certificates (SKCK)
