About the Role
The Media Production Coordinator – Podcast will work in collaboration with the General Manager-Hejaz Media in producing high quality podcasts for use across various platforms. You will bring your excellent project coordination and creative ideas and concepts to contribute to podcast production.
Main Responsibilities
- Guest Coordination: Identifying and reaching out to potential guests who align with our podcast's theme and audience. Responsible for initiating contact, managing communications, and coordinating schedules to secure guest appearances.
- Research and Content Development: Conducting thorough research on each guest to provide insightful talking points and engaging questions, ensuring our host is well-prepared for each interview.
- Episode Planning and Production Oversight: Collaborating closely with the host and production team to plan episodes including guest episodes and internal content, researching and suggesting trending topics for discussion.
- Quality Control and Editing Liaison: Acting as the liaison between our host, guests, and video editors overseeing the editing process to ensure each episode meets our high standards of quality, aligns with the vision of the podcast, and is edited for maximum impact and clarity.
- Social Media and Distribution Management: Ensuring that each episode is uploaded seamlessly across various podcast platforms and social media sites. Also work on promoting episodes and engaging with our audience through these channels.
- Assist with set preparation, attend planning meetings, review, and provide feedback on content, and identify ways to increase studio productivity.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing.
- 4+ years’ experience in a similar role as a videographer and editor or podcast production, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Professional English communication skills verbally and in writing.
- Experience in producing digital content, video, and podcast highly regarded.
- Ability to think innovatively, strategically, and creatively to produce captivating visual stories on all mediums and platforms.
- Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Ability to work across multiple high priority deadlines simultaneously, and the confidence to make changes on the fly.
- A drive to create fresh and engaging concepts through impactful storytelling.
- Impeccable organisational skills with a keen eye for detail, consistency, and quality
