Our client was restructured from several supply chain service and went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2011. The company's main business is supply chain management and logistics services, logistics platform development and operation.
Resources : Commodity procurement and supply business mainly feature plastic chemicals, metal minerals, agricultural products, forest products and mechanical and electrical products, such as five general resins, EVA, fish meal, whey powder, palm oil, latex, steel, non-ferrous metals, automobiles, etc.
We are seeking an experienced Export & Import Manager to lead our logistics team and oversee all aspects of our export and import operations.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of logistic processes, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in managing export and import activities within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and direct strategic planning for logistics, ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
- Oversee and control export handling, including monitoring income generations and cash flow.
- Manage document handling processes from vessel ETD to bank submission, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide market data and research to support purchase decisions and commodity trading strategies.
- Coordinate technical matters with buyers, maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Ensure smooth operations and maintenance of the SIMODIS (Sistem Informasi Monitoring Devisa terIntegrasi Seketika).
- Uphold high standards of service within the company and with external vendors.
- Develop and implement procedures and standards for loading / unloading, routes, and fleets.
- Monitor and coordinate export-import activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and laws.
- Address and resolve any issues arising from external and internal departments.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Business / Management or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, export, and import, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Fluency in Mandarin (oral and written) is essential; proficiency in English is highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and laws related to export and import activities.
