Januar Jahja and Partners, a leading intellectual property law firm based in Jakarta, Indonesia is currently seeking candidates to join its growing patent department. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of work experience directly handling patent/design matters.
- Fluency in English communication and excellent writing skills.
- Good analytical, drafting, communication, and research skills.
- Ability to effectively monitor and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Handle all substantive aspects of patent applications related to Electrical Engineering.
- Handle all substantive aspects of industrial design applications related to Electrical Engineering.
- Work with Patent Paralegals to review all notifications received from DJKI.
- Ensure data and deadlines are inputted accurately and in accordance with Client's instruction/data into IP Management System.
- Conduct and advise on patent searches, patent infringement analysis, and freedom-to-operate searches and analysis.
- Prepare and review patent specifications from English to Indonesian.
- Formulate strategies, provide opinions and analytical responses to client and potential client requests for advice.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for associations, conferences, conventions, and individuals, writing articles, and participating in various conferences.
- Perform other tasks related to IP and patent matters, and other administrative tasks as necessary.
