AlamatAYANA Hospitality is looking for a dedicated and experienced Port Engineer to join our team at AYANA Komodo, a luxurious hospitality establishment located in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia. As the Port Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance, repair, and operations of our fleet of boats. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our marine operations, as well as maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate maintenance and repair activities for the fleet of boats, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Oversee the work of boat engineers, technicians, and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality requirements.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize the efficiency and lifespan of boats and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inventory, and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations, class standards, and industry best practices.
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, identify and order necessary supplies, and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Provide technical guidance and support to boat crew members, including training and troubleshooting assistance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in marine engineering and maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of marine systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Familiarity with relevant marine regulations, safety standards, and class rules.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for maintenance and inventory management.
