Procurement Lead

Job Descriptions : 

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting due diligence to ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, sales, and quality assurance teams, to assess demand forecasts and inventory requirements.
• Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting the fisheries sector to inform procurement decisions.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, fostering partnerships to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Evaluate supplier performance against established KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure compliance and quality standards.
• Lead cross-functional teams and initiatives to optimize procurement processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to fisheries procurement and sustainability.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on procurement activities, performance metrics, and cost-saving initiatives for management review

Job Requirements : 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships in the seafood or fisheries sector.
• Strong leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience in negotiation of long term supply agreements .
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capable of comprehending technical aspects and issues related to materials.
• Able to distinguish between best value and best price.
• Demonstrable experience in managing teams in high pressure situations.
