Job Description
The Project Assistant provide support in the implementation of the project by following guided procedures and processes, according to specific rules and donor compliance.
The Project Assistant ensures service needs are reviewed and service delivery is guided. The Project Assistant can assist in the Finance and Administration of a project or also on the technical side of the project implementation.
Key Activities
- Support Administrative and Financial work within the project, ensuring Project Management Administrative and Financial requirements are in line with SNV’s financial and administrative guidelines (including supporting in the procurement of goods and services, travel arrangements, advance and payment requests, and time writing for consultants)
- Provide logistical & general support to project delivery and documentation (including preparing meetings agendas, meeting minutes, support to the recruitment of consultants, project document folders, and financial information).
- Assist with activities supporting of teamwork, meetings preparation and coordination with field partner.
- Keep an inventory list of equipment, project assets, the relevant contracts, and leases, organize equipment and stationary procurements for training, coordinate maintenance and replacement when required, in consultation with and with approval of the supervisor and confirm the given authorization and (procurement) procedures.
- File all the project document, letters, contract, PR, approvals, in line with the procurement policy.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Forestry or Natural Resources.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experiences, preferably in an International NGO environment.
- Knowledge of agriculture value chain or climate change related issues is an advantage
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Good computer skills (Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, Ms. Power Point, Internet and E-mail)
- Organized, results driven, and structured work style skills
- Ability to document activities (both in writing and visually) in an organized, straightforward way
- Ability to communicate with a different range of stakeholders and partners, including government counterparts.
Additional Information
Contract Type : National Employment Contract, 1 year contract with possibility of extension.
Expected Start Date : March 2024
Duty Station : Labuhanbatu, North Sumatera
