Job Purpose

This position is responsible for supporting onshore planning, vessel mob / demob activities and offshore execution of projects executed by TechnipFMC.

This role covers a broad spectrum of technical areas to include but not limited to SURF and SPS installations. This position works under the direction of a Project Manager and functionally reports to the Operations Manager.

This position is one of the key client-facing resources for the project and provides direct support and assistance to the Project Manager.

The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following :

Job Description

Reinforce and strengthen the HSES and Quality culture at every opportunity and promote best behaviors through personal actions.

Review work scope risks and ensure proper mitigations are implemented. Review project CTRs and MDRs generated for scopes inclusive of installation and operational activity.

Interface, maintain, and align project offshore schedule with Gulf of Mexico (GoM) schedule to ensure maximum efficiency.

Review and validate project execution plan. Manage field operations, remediation, corrective actions and close outs. Support the development of performance standards and implementation of strategic objectives focused on improved performance of operations.

Provide guidance and mentoring to the assigned installation engineering team. Coordinate meetings with Clients, Suppliers and / or Consultants and manage technical issues relating to installation engineering.

Support project cost forecasting (ie PMR preparation and delivery as required).Familiarization with contract documents and Assist PM with development, management, and negotiation of variation orders.

Manage 3rd party vendors and subcontractors, as required by project needs

You are meant for this job if :

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent (Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-training (EIT) preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in offshore / subsea industry with particular emphasis in installation and pre-commissioning of reeled and S-Lay pipelines, flexibles, umbilicals and subsea structures and offshore marine operations.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC, VISAs (BOSIET, OGUK)
  • Strong understanding of SURF infrastructure with general awareness of SPS
  • Understanding of vessel capabilities, operations and experience in collaborating with vessel teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with leadership and provide guidance to team members.
  • Must have strong planning, time management skills, prioritize workloads
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Takes responsibility for delivery and execution.
  • Must have proven communications skills with the ability to tailor messaging to multiple types of audiences to include technical and non-technical, internal and external clients, vendors, and leadership.

Communication in this context includes but is not limited to verbal, presentation, digital, and body language.

Work Environment / Physical demands :

  • Office based position with occasional trips offsite / offshore.
  • 75% office environment and 25% field (onshore / offshore) environment.
  • Travel required to support business trips and / or project execution (mobilization, demobilization and offshore operations) domestically and internationally.
  • Frequent sitting and operating a computer when in the office.
  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs / ladders while onboard the vessel, as well as exposure to sea conditions (vessel movement, summer heat, etc.)
