- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Monitor competitors' strategies related to sourcing and purchasing of materials.
- Supplier Identification and Evaluation:
- Identify potential suppliers for raw materials, fabrics, trims, and accessories.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, reliability, pricing, lead times, and ethical practices.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Cost Management:
- Work closely with the Merchandising team to develop and manage budgets for purchasing raw materials.
- Implement cost-saving strategies and propose alternative materials and suppliers without compromising on quality or production timelines.
- Monitor and analyze material costs to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Provide monthly expense report and price matrix of raw materials.
- Inventory Management:
- Coordinate with production planning teams to forecast material requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels.
