Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete Packaging Design and Packaging Deployment for Innovation/Growth projects and productivity projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute

With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct activities to generate appropriate packaging information, using sampling and supplier management, and pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In this role, you will plan and conduct process development activities (e.g. packaging design and specifications, packaging scale up, commissioning etc.) and help with planning and the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies. You will also create technical reports, which will require your skills in analysis and interpretation of results that will lead to conclusions and recommendations; create and maintain accurate packaging specifications; and create intellectual property to drive our competitive advantage.

More about this role

What you need to know about this position:

• This person is with 6-10 years plus working experience of R&D packaging who can lead complex packaging projects and provide packaging technical support for Biscuit. And also a business partner who work with business team (marketing, MSC…) to provide packaging solution to continue drive business growth.
• This position is accountable for packaging productivity projects in SEA (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore…). Packaging productivity may cover size change, structure change and others technical support. Packaging development may include new packaging material, new packaging function, new packing format and new packing engineering introduction or reformulate current ones.
• This position requires a detailed understanding of packaging development process and the knowledge of packaging enabling technologies to make a significant contribution to project objective and outcomes.
• This position requires a strong communication capability internally and externally to apply new technology locally
• Internal relationships with cross-function: Marketing, PCM, MSC, Procurement, R&D product team, Quality,  Global R&D. External relationships with suppliers and Labs and college.

Job specific requirements:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Packaging Engineering, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material science
• At least 6-10 years’ experience in packaging development, food Industry or related area
• Project management capability. Able to manage multiple assignments and tasks concurrently and meet deadline.
• Experience in food industrial or FMCG industry is preferred.
• Good inter-personal skill
• Good command of English & computer skills
