Uraian Tugas

MAIN SCOPE AND PURPOSE :

To ensure the smooth and highly effective performance of the Human Resources function through professional planning, compliance, management and administration of HR activities inline with the Global HR and company strategy.

For the department to be known as a knowledge, development, support and engagement centre.

Building strong relationships of leadership internally and with suppliers by ensuring Mad Monkey core values; Curiosity, Positivity, Courage, Sincerity and family spirit have visibility within the business.

Main duties and responsibilities :

Responsible for all aspects of human resources within the region, including the management and updating of the HRMI systems (Comps and Bens and databases) to ensure both internal and external compliance.

Is an integral part of the Global HR strategy planning and execution process.

Internally consults with hostel General Managers and Regional Operations Manager to define and recruit for the future, legal compliance, training and development.

Oversees training and development at the hostel to ensure there is a consistent and documented path of progression for all team members at every level of the business.

Defines and manages a regional wide rewards, feedback and incentives program that focuses on commitment to our values and our brand promise.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition :

You will be responsible for identifying skills and resource gaps within the business and directly recruiting the best team members to fill those gaps, preferably from our existing team members.

Or by leading a search from outside of the business.

Tracking and administrating applications.

Managing our talent bank and sharing potential talent throughout the company.

Ensuring timely and consistent communication with all applicants.

Ensuring utilization of the inhouse recruitment system.

Training and Development :

You will be responsible for training and development delivery and ensuring that Mad Monkey continues to provide excellent training and education for our team members.

Both through 1 : 1, group and LMS training.

Maintaining excellent levels of engagement as well as a clear path for progression and career development for our team members.

Responsible for identifying training and skills gaps within the organisation that can be solved with either training, succession planning or the hiring of new team members with specific skills.

Responsible for ensuring every new team member has experienced our induction process and understands our core values and goals and has received basic health, safety, fire and food hygiene training.

Ensuring that regular performance reviews are conducted at all hostel and office locations in a way that drives engagement and team member development.

Identify and address further training and support needs via personal development plans that link to KPIs. Use these documents to create succession plans to sustain our business growth.

Human Resources Management and Compliance :

Working with the General Managers of each hostel, the local administration teams and the Regional Operations Director / Manager you will be responsible for maintaining an up to date HRMI system, records, disciplinary, grievance and legal employment compliance for all team members.

You will be responsible for working with the finance team to ensure PAYE requirements are met, leave days are tracked and that the company exceeds our legal commitments for team member employment in each country.

Responsible for ensuring policy and procedures are in place for all practices.

Responsible for asylum and immigration processes, procedures and legal compliance.

Planning and Reporting :

You will be responsible for working with the Global HR Director to plan and implement company-wide projects that improve our business performance.

This includes frequent reporting of the HRMI performance metrics including, but limited to; engagement, retention goals, inductions, team member progression and team satisfaction to ensure that we maintain a healthy, happy and engaged workforce that is invested in our business values.

Managing the internal company engagement survey and creating forward thinking measurable action plans and solutions for development areas.

Submitting monthly and ad hoc HR reports as required.

Responsible for tracking training and development.

Internal Communications and Incentives :

You will be responsible for leading a fun and robust internal team member communications strategy to ensure that all team members understand our vision and business values and are engaged in the successful development and growth of the business.

Responsible for defining incentives, benefits and a social calendar that rewards progression and an engaging strategy to promote commitment to our values.

Responsible for ensuring internal communications meetings and an appropriate internal communications strategy and execution is present in the business.

Financial Management :

Creates departmental budgets and tracks expenses ensuring alignment with budget.

Authorisation of all approval processes; recruitment, overtime, agency or casual usage, holiday and absence requests, ensuring maximum flexibility and effective cost management.

Ensures wage cost is in line with budget / revenue expectations.

Ensure that departmental revenue and expenses are in line with budgeted guidelines.

Generally, be alert for opportunities to improve the profitability and cost saving of the operation.

Forward thinking :

Maintains up to date knowledge of the hostel sector and our competitors.

Monitor present and future trends and practices to determine and ensure a leading and quality driven operation. Proactively search for new ideas and practices that can enhance volume, raise standards and increase the quality of the operation.

Ensure that there are proper measures to prevent hostel assets from being stolen and unaccounted for between departments.

Team Management :

Provides dynamic consistent leadership to the Human Resources team, developing a strong team culture in line with company values and ethos, which supports high levels of delivery, effective communication and knowledge sharing.

Coach and support department managers in the delivery of departmental standards, which achieve and exceed company benchmark expectations and Internal and external standards.

Ensure highly effective recruitment and selection, and team member recognition and retention processes are in place to support high performance across the department.

In conjunction with the General and Operations Managers, ensure a robust and effective training strategy is in place within the department;

including induction, departmental and cross training, and team member, supervisory and management level development.

Ensure that the Standard Operating Practices and company standards are communicated to team members through regular training sessions and audits.

Attend, develop or facilitate department training sessions and / or meetings as required ensuring you are fully responsible for the training of all team members within the department.

Fully support company training initiatives.

Conduct appraisals, create personal development plans and support the development of team members at all levels, encourage succession planning and identify team members with potential for promotion and / or transfer and make appropriate development plans together with the Operations and HR team.

Be fully conversant with the Mad Monkey team member Handbook and ensure all departments within the division are familiar with the Handbook and best practice is adopted at all times.

Encourage, foster and manage highly effective team member relations.

Health and Safety :

Proactively support the Company’s health and safety agenda.

Ensure all team members are aware of their Health and Safety responsibilities as required by the company Health and Safety Policy, monitor compliance with procedural requirements.

To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety policy as applicable to your place of work, including awareness of any specific hazards in your Workplace.

Ensuring the wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory and ensure this is applied across all departments where applicable.

Report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to hostel procedures.

Ensure that any accidents to team members, customers or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures and ensure awareness of these procedures across the division.

Attend Statutory Fire and any relevant Health and Safety training, be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning Fire and Health and Safety.

Be vigilant in ensuring this is managed effectively across the operation.

To be fully conversant with all Risk Assessments for your departments, COSHH Regulations, Fire and Bomb Procedures and ensure the team are up to date and proactively manage their responsibilities in these areas.
