Representative Policy

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible for examining if policies and regulations are aligned with company’s goals and objectives, consulting with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the inclusion of relevant factors, and identifying the benefits, disadvantages, and omissions in existing policy frameworks, and reporting on findings to Policy & Research team.
• Assist in preparing material for mapping policies and regulations related to company and other advocacy steps as directed by Head of Policy & Research and Sr. Specialist Policy.
• Monitor the development of policies and regulations of the central government and local governments to see the potential impact on company business operation.
• Attend events held by ministries, agencies, associations, and other institutions relevant to company business operation.
• Carry out regular inspection, safety meetings to address mine safety.
• Prepare initial report of benefits, disadvantages, and omissions in existing policy frameworks.
• Prepare and compile daily and weekly reports for the Policy & Research division.
• Maintain good relations with staff at MEMR, KLHK and other relevant agencies to obtain the latest information on government policies and regulations.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor’s degree in law or related discipline with 1-2 years’ experience in Mining Industry is preferred;
• At least 3-4 years of work experience in developing, reviewing and implementation of policies and regulations, and or has similar role as Representative/ Officer or Specialist Policy.
• Understand relevant laws and regulations related to role;
• Experience in developing and implementing management systems / tools / procedures related Policy and or regulatory document would be a good plus point.
• Has initiative, planning & organizing skills; analytical and problem solving skill, interpersonal skills, teamwork & work collaboratively; client focus, communicative, and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits.
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
