Safety Manager (Pulp Industry)

The role of an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Manager in the Pulp Industry involves ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for employees by implementing and overseeing occupational health and safety programs and initiatives. Qualifications for an OHS Manager in the Pulp Industry typically include :

•  Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Management System Lead Auditor can be advantageous.
• Previous experience in occupational health and safety roles within the pulp or paper industry is often preferred.
• Strong knowledge of relevant occupational health and safety regulations, hazard identification techniques, and risk assessment methodologies is essential.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are also important for effectively managing occupational health and safety programs.
• Willing to be placement in Tarakan, North Kalimantan (no roster system).
