As Scientist expert Particle Engineering & synthesis (d/f/m) you will be responsible for advanced scientific understanding of organic synthesis and purification processes. You will be also responsible for early and/or full development of complex active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and independent execution of development activities in the field of API synthesis for standard and complex generics products in accordance with the law, internal regulations, good practices, and business objectives.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Independent development of chemical synthesis for active pharmaceutical substances, their intermediates and impurities.
• Independent planning of experimental work in the laboratory based on literature review and interpretation of experimental data.
• Proactively introducing new skills, techniques and expertise for the scientific development of the whole department and transferring knowledge, processes and technologies to other departments, units or external partners.
• Evaluations of risks for nitrosamines and mutagenic impurities.
• Keeping laboratory records and preparing development and project documentation.
• Supervising the laboratory work of technicians and laboratory scientists.
• High integrity and proactive participation in local and global teams.
• Responsibility for personal and professional development.

Role Requirements

What you will bring to the role:
• At least master/second level degree or equivalent in the field of pharmaceutical, chemical, chemical technology or other appropriate natural sciences.
• Advanced scientific understanding of organic synthesis.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in research.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
