Sea Sustainability Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Ensure quality of the program implementation and projects results 
• Assist and improve project management tools and processes if needed
• Coordinate local teams, suppliers, and partners at origin for activities and administrative matters
• Supervise the internal and external program reporting (qualitative and quantitative)
• Lead annual technical and financial proposals to customers
• Lead discussions with technical partners and develop new partnerships
• Follow the sectorial governance matters of the different origins and represent the company when needed
• Interact with trading department, supplier management team and suppliers to allocate program volumes and contracts 
• Contribute to the sustainability strategy and roadmap development of each origin
• Contribute to strengthen the global sustainable sourcing strategy and support the implementation
• Contribute to the design of the internal sustainability standard and supports the implementation
• Support the different departments (trading, sales, logistics, quality) on the different sustainability processes

Certification

• Responsible to develop, comply and sustain the certification of Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standards with an effective integrated planning and management system

 QUALIFICATION

• Ideally a Bachelor or Master Degree in a field such as Business, Sustainability, Economics, Agricultural or Agronomy
• Between 8 - 15 years’ experience related to sustainability and certification program in multi-regions and community level 
• Between 4 – 5 years of experience on Monitoring, Evaluation and Verification (MEV)
• Understanding of corporate sustainability and sustainable sourcing key topics and challenges
• Experience in cocoa sector is a plus, but experience in other commodities can also be considered
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
• Ability to deliver results
