A Security Officer maintains the order and security of the hotel, its guests and team members.
What will I be doing?
A Security Officer / Senior Security Officer is responsible for monitoring access control, patrolling on a regular basis at the stipulated timings, and managing undesirable behaviors to deliver a safe Guest and Team Member experience. A Security Officer would also be required to investigate criminal activities within the hotel vicinity and support evacuation procedures. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- To keep management informed of any public information and enhancement of the hotel’s public image
- To ensure guests, hotel’s properties and assets are protected
- To ensure a high level of liaison is maintained with all other departments within the hotel
- Must be knowledgeable about fire procedures, disaster plan procedure, bomb threats, hotel crisis handling and hotel evacuation procedures
- Operate, check and monitor the CCTV system
- Ensure safe passage of cash transfers within the hotel
- To provide escort for VIP’s and major events if required
- Investigate and report all allegations of theft, criminal damage and other incidents
- Manage undesirable behavior in a professional manner, intervening and defusing potential altercations
- Liaise with Police in the absence of supervisor or team leader or Duty Manager
- Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor or team leader on duty
- Ensure Occurrence Log is updated and sent to DSS on daily basis
- To record and raised Incident or Injury reports pertaining to all safety and security related incidents without fail

A Security Officer / Senior Security Officer serving Hilton Worldwide Brand hotels and vacations are always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
- Good physical condition
- Must be knowledgeable about fire safety procedures, bomb threats and hotel evacuation procedures
- Should be well versed in local law/government regulation
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- WSQ Security trained and PLRD Licensed
- Positive attitude
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good grooming standards
- Ability to perform duties while under pressure, keeping calm in emergency situations
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and adaptable
- Previous experience in customer service environment
- Able to write simple incident or accident reports
- First Aid, CPR & AED certified
- IT proficiency (MS Word, Excel & Power Point)
