About The Job

We are looking for a talented and experienced Data Engineer to lead the designing, building, and optimizing of our platform to support a wide range of data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, architect scalable solutions, and implement data pipelines and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leveraging data to drive business impact, strong technical skills, and experience with modern data technologies.

What You'll Do

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support data ingestion, processing, and analysis.

- Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and product teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Architect and implement data solutions using modern data technologies such as Spark, Hive, Hudi, Presto, Airflow, and cloud-based data services like AWS Lakeformation, Glue and Athena.

- Optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.

- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in Data Engineering and analytics.

Who You Are

Required

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, software development, or a related field.

- Experience with schema design and data modeling

- You have a strong SQL background and understand query analysis and the nuances of various RDBMS-based platforms

- You have a strong background in at least one of the following: distributed data processing or software engineering of data services, or data modeling

- Experience with AWS technologies at scale. You have experience designing and implementing app architectures and code that is both scalable and performant.

- Strong verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

- You have an eye for detail, good data intuition, and a passion for data quality

- You enjoy helping teams push the boundaries of analytical insights, creating new product features using data, and powering machine learning models

- You are self-directed, requiring minimal supervision with the ability to think holistically around ambiguous requirements. You are nimble and take intelligent risks

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
