COMPANY & POSITION OVERVIEW

At Trade Indy we are a fully independent specialist digital partner and trading desk working with largely independent agencies and direct clients across APAC. Trade Indy is headquartered in Melbourne delivering world class programmatic campaigns for clients across display, video, mobile and social also with an office in Bali, Indonesia. 

The Trade Indy team plan, execute and optimise data driven programmatic campaigns that allow advertisers to reach their ideal consumer across a variety of digital platforms with one comprehensive campaign. 

Trade Indy’s proprietary technology ensures ad spend is executed in the most efficient way possible to deliver best-in-class programmatic campaigns across display, video, mobile and social platforms. Trade Indy uses an optimum combination of private and public data sources to target based on demographics, behaviour, intent to purchase and location to achieve a client’s campaign objectives. 

Our traders are digital specialists who demonstrate expertise in Programmatic Advertising and social media advertising, and a proven track record of delivering outstanding results for clients. The demands of this role will require someone who is highly analytical, able to pick out trends in data and deliver meaningful insights and effective optimisations.  An adept problem solver with the ability to confidently act on initiative. 

Client retention is essential to our business, and therefore our Traders need to present a can-do attitude and make themselves indispensable to all assigned clients. Traders are expected to carry out all aspects of client management, including fulfilment of all reporting requirements, campaign management and assistance with new business pitches all the time responding to and delivering on all reasonable requests in a timely fashion. Above all, delivering exceptional results for our clients.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Trader makes investment decisions on clients advertising spend in a manner which maximises results against the set objectives

The main responsibilities include:

  • Campaign Management: Oversee the day-to-day execution of digital ad campaigns across various platforms, including display, video, mobile, and social media. Ensure campaigns are launched on time and within budget. Ensure regular monitoring of campaign performance
  • Data Analysis: Utilise data analytics tools and platforms to monitor campaign performance and identify trends and insights. Make data-driven decisions to optimise campaign strategies and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive campaign performance reports and present key findings and insights to clients and internal stakeholders. Use reports to demonstrate the value and impact of our services.
  • Budget Allocation: Manage campaign budgets effectively, allocating resources to the most impactful channels and segments to achieve maximum return on investment (ROI).
  • Assisting in trading decisions (the bidding and buying of online media)
  • Supporting the trading team in retaining clients and increasing ad spend by surpassing their objectives
  • Generating end of month billing reports for clients
  • Monitoring of ongoing performance and pacing within internal programs and systems
  • Creating custom campaign planning, management, and reporting
  • Working with TI business support teams on the following:
    • Ad Trafficking
    • Client Reporting and insights
    • Screenshots
    • Pixel Generation
    • General troubleshooting
  • Supporting the team to manage client relationships specific to client performance
  • Maintaining and developing a comprehensive and up to date understand of products
  • Building relationships with clients, including weekly meets / phone calls and quarterly presentations to highlight business growth.
     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3-5 years experience working for an agency or similar, with hands-on campaign, and client management experience.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills are essential
  • The ability to work with large datasets in Excel
  • A working knowledge of statistical models    
  • A start-up mindset
  • Attention to detail and the ability to proactively solve problems
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative skills with both internal and external teams
