Job Description: As the Senior Restaurant Accountant at Mama Pizza, you will oversee all aspects of our financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. You will be responsible for:

• Managing the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensuring compliance with all accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Preparing monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyzing financial data and providing insights to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
• Developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, and controls to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Leading the annual budgeting process and providing ongoing variance analysis and financial performance reporting.
• Collaborating with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and tax filings.
• Mentoring and supervising junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification preferred.
•  years of progressive experience in accounting roles, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
• Knowledge of restaurant-specific accounting practices and software (e.g., Aloha, Micros) is a plus.
