With an emerging portfolio in urban mobility, Arup requires a motivated individual with proven Transport Planning skills.
The purpose of this role is to support the transport planning team in Arup’s Jakarta office. This is a high impact role that comprises client engagement, work winning, project delivery and technical advice.
What will I do?
- You will provide timely and high quality technical advice to clients where you will undertake roles of deputy team leader or project manager, accountable for day to day delivery of projects and likely be responsible for multiple concurrent projects.
- Lead and coordinate staff to undertake analysis where you will write successful proposals and tender documents, help to assemble teams and manage the proposal process.
- You will be the deputy team leader, accountable for significant complex transportation planning projects in which you will develop work programs, set budgets, manage deliverables, manage staff resources, successfully deliver projects on time and to budget, and cultivate client relationships.
- You will be responsible for work products, demonstrating client-centric and compelling narratives from technical analyses.
You will direct and review transport planning work performed by the wider transport planning team.
Project management and bid management tasks (with overall guidance from senior staff) including : Develop work programs, set budgets, drafting successful proposals and tender documents, manage deliverables, manage staff resources, and cultivate client relationships.
What will I bring?
- Advanced degree in Transport planning / engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience in transport planning, bus, rail planning in a consulting business environment.
- Strong relationships with some key clients such as MOT, PUPR and key City Governments (e.g. Semarang, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung).
- Influential and active in the Indonesian transport planning community e.g. Indonesian Transport association (regular sharing at forums, leadership role).
- Experience leading Projects across the project life cycle, from business case through to reference design within a consulting business environment.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution or eligibility for such membership.
