Shift Leader Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP/ WWTP)

Operational Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation of the Effluent Treatment Plant during the assigned shift.
• Monitor and control the treatment processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, instrumentation, and systems to identify and address any issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot operational problems and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain uninterrupted plant operations.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule and perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities.

Supervisory Duties:

• Provide leadership and direction to shift personnel, including operators and technicians.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and capabilities.
• Train new employees on plant procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to ensure productivity and adherence to standards.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and accountability among shift staff.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Conduct safety meetings and drills to promote awareness and adherence to safety procedures.
• Investigate incidents or accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to plant operations, safety inspections, and regulatory compliance.

Communication and Coordination:

• Communicate effectively with other Shift Leaders, supervisors, and management to ensure seamless transitions between shifts.
• Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, engineering, and quality assurance to address operational issues and optimize plant performance.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections as required.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Implement best practices and innovative technologies to enhance plant performance and sustainability.
• Participate in training and professional development activities to stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in Effluent Treatment technology.
