Smelter - Lab Chemist Position (Walk In Interview - Morowali)

Amman Mineral Industries has a Precious Metal Recovery plant at its Sumbawa complex. Anode slime from the electro refinery is utilized to produce Gold Bar of 99.99% purity, Silver Bar of 99.95% purity and Selenium Granules of 99.9% purity. Other PMR byproducts are tellurium, PGM (Platinum & Palladium Group Metal), Copper telluride. 

This role is responsible for undertaking timely and accurate analysis of the quality of the input anode slime received from the electro refinery, the work in progress input and output at every stage including the roasting, distillation, leaching, filtration, reduction, and others. 

Requirements:

• Graduate in  Chemistry,  Diploma Engineer/ Trade certificate in Chemical/ Metallurgical engineering
• Experience in  laboratory of PMR 
• Understanding of laboratory management system
• Understanding of copper smelting operations and precious metal refinery
• Understanding of quality systems, analytical tools and techniques 
• Fluency in both written and spoken English; and computer literate
• Willing to locate on site at Sumbawa Barat.
