About the Role:
The role of an SDET is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications. If you possess extensive expertise in Android/iOS automation testing with Appium, API automation with any of Rest Assured/ HTTP client, then this is an opportunity you shouldn't miss. As a QA Engineer, your primary responsibility is to execute comprehensive testing strategies for mobile applications, ensuring seamless functionality, performance, and reliability across diverse platforms.
What you'll do
- Test Planning & Strategy: collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define testing objectives, then develop comprehensive test plans that cover functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing
- Mobile Automation: utilize Appium for both Android and iOS automation testing to ensure the compatibility and reliability of mobile apps, covering key functionalities and edge cases
- API Automation: employ Rest Assured and HTTP client to automate API testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of backend services. Validate data integrity, security, and performance of APIs through automated testing
- Test Execution and Defect Management: prioritize issues, execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects and inconsistencies
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to facilitate continuous testing and deployment
- Monitor and enhance test automation frameworks to optimize efficiency and coverage
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and automation frameworks
What you'll need
- 3-5+ years experience in a QA, SDET or DevX role, with expertise in Test automation
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or others commonly used in automation scripting
- Proficient in Appium for mobile (iOS & Android) automation testing, ensuring cross-platform compatibility
- Extensive experience with Rest Assured and HTTP client for API automation
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git for code repository management.
- Experience integrating automated tests into continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
