JOB SUMMARY: UPL is seeking a Specialist – Trademarks to join the Global Trademarks team who can handle Global
Trademarks matters. This includes search opinions, handling examinations, oppositions, cancellations, coordinating on
litigations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with all internal verticals on trademark related matters
• Perform trademark search
• Trademark watch for opposition matters
• Trademark status reports for business
• Managing application through Madrid system
• Trademark portfolio management (Invoice Assistance, Documentation Assistance such as POA signatures,
legalization etc.,)
• Convey and draft instructions to foreign counsel related to trademark matters.
• Coordinates and supervise outside counsel to assure deadlines are met.,

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Trademark and Copyright law
• LLB; from a premier institute
• Understanding of different software related to IP management & case law research
• The candidate must have experience working on India matters, and also exposure to other country trademark
management will be preferable
• Knowledge of Madrid applications
• Experience of working with diverse cultures will be valuable.
• Experience of working in an agile, fast paced work environment will be valuable
