Responsibilities
• Maintain a high customer service focus with customers in mind.• Take responsibility and initiative to resolve issues and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.• Guide and supervise stewards in their jobs.• Control and analyze cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment.• Provide cleaning supplies and equipment.• Implement and maintain cleaning schedule.• Take inventory and requisition cleaning supplies.• Handle and maintain kitchen equipment.• Maintain steward operating manual and cleaning charts.• Prepare and monitor requisitions for chemicals and equipment.• Conduct monthly operating equipment inventory.• Report and monitor breakage and loss of operating equipment.• Ensure storeroom is organized.• Operate and maintain dish-washing machine and cleaning equipment.• Provide sufficient dishes for restaurants.• Clean kitchen and stewarding areas.• Check and ensure sanitation standards are met.• Complete FSMS checklist.• Check reservations and inform team members of busy areas.• Follow safety protocols.• Assist waiters, bar attendants, and kitchen team members.• Carry out any other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
• Middle School diploma equivalent or above.• At least 3 years working experience in a 5-star hotel.• Minimum of 2 years as a Stewarding Team Leader in an international brand hotel.• Valid health certificate.• Knowledge of restaurant and hotel opening hours.• Capable of training and motivating team members.• Able to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.• Able to work in moist, hot, and loud environments.• Knowledgeable in HACCP.
