System Administrator & Database Specialist

Main Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain the company's on-premise and cloud-based systems, ensuring their smooth operation, high availability, and security.
• Perform system installations, configurations, upgrades, and patches across various platforms and environments.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary optimizations to ensure optimal system functionality.
• Develop and implement system security measures to protect data and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable system architectures.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to optimize database performance and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Administer and maintain databases, including data modeling, schema design, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Implement and enforce database security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to system administration, cloud computing, and database administration.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator and DBA Specialist
• Strong knowledge of system administration, including Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience in managing systems in both on-premise and cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in database administration, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, or Ansible, are a plus.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate AWS, are a plus.
