AlamatAssist the with the integration of electrical power requirements, upgrades and specifications especially as these related to underground mines and main power consumers - ventilation fans, crushing facilities and rail haulage systems.
Additional Responsibilities :
1. Direct, communicate, and control the company's safety, health and environmental policies and procedures implementation, including conducting safety meetings in order to promote in all personnel;
the awareness of safety and environmental issues especially when working in an underground environment where high risks and limited space exists.
2. Conduct site studies for the various projects to ensure that the electrical scope feasibility assumptions are relevant and achievable.
3. Ensure that a standardized electrical infrastructure is implemented throughout all new and existing projects. Design must ensure that systems comply with GOI regulations, site standards and international best practice;
this must carry through the design, installation, integration, and operation phases of the associated electrical projects.
4. Work closely with NOLA, PTFI CSE and PJP groups to assure compliance with site specifications and critical path requirements.
5. Work closely with the end-users and the maintenance department to ensure that the types of electrical equipment and systems that are installed are functional and reliable.
6. Provide auditing and commissioning functions for the permanent infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years of proven experience, especially with large scale, world class underground mining operations and the installation of new electrical systems for underground mining applications - OR Technical Trade school with a minimum of seven (7) years of proven experience, especially with large scale, world class underground mining operations and the installation of new electrical systems for underground mining applications OR High School Diploma with minimum of ten (10) years of proven experience, especially with large scale, world class underground mining operations and the installation of new electrical systems for underground mining applications.
- Familiar with the current state of electrical power transmission and distribution in an underground mining environment.
Particularly in the 34.5kV transmission and 13.8kV distribution range of voltages.
- Understand the implementation of development and construction plans for new underground mines.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skill.
- Highly proactive and achievement oriented.
- Highly focused toward satisfying customer requirements.
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
- Strong analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a culturally diversified workforce.
- Fluent in English (oral and written) and willing to learn Bahasa.

Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred previous work experience in a remote location with a mixed culture community of host national and expatriate professional and trades personnel.
- Working experience with Allen Bradley and Control Logic.
