Job Description
- Supervising tooling creation and manufacturing lead time and quality in the assigned factory, considering production sources.
- Collaborating with the Liaison Office Costing team on tooling costing processes. Responsible for submitting theoretical weight and verifying cycle time for outsole.
- Streamlining tooling creation and manufacturing lead time through Lean Manufacturing and forecasting & planning tools.
- Implementing tooling data security, monitoring and maintaining it across the assigned factories.
- Ensuring updated Tier 1 tooling data is accessible in the regional tooling data management system.
- Deploying tooling creation and manufacturing technologies.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of tooling supplier capabilities in Vietnam and China. General Responsibilities
- Collaborating with Industrial Engineers, Tier 1, Tier 2, Liaison Office, and Machinery Vendors to devise manufacturing technologies and processes enhancing efficiency and consistency (e.g., Assembly processes, bonding systems, stitching automation, etc.).
- Introducing new manufacturing technologies at Tier 1 and Tier 2, involving research, benefit analysis, best practice documentation, and successful pilot trials.
- Advising Brand, Tier 1, and Tier 2 teams on technical and tooling-related matters.
- Assisting Regional PCT & Tooling, Asia in creating PCT documents, implementing them, and offering operational feedback to improve best practices, policies, guidelines, and standards.
