Warehouse Assistant Manager

Responsibilities: 

• Guide and direct the warehouse team to achieve company goals.
• Establish and enforce internal control systems and standard operating procedures or an efficient Warehouse function.
• Responsible for ensuring the daily management of warehouse operations is efficient and effective.
• Responsible for overseeing and managing the entire flow of warehouse operations, including planning, ordering, receiving inbound goods, warehousing, sales order processing, and shipping.
• Oversee the Warehouse function to ensure that inbound and outbound activities are conducted in accordance with agreed Key Performance Indicators.
• Monitor and provide direction to warehouse employees to improve their performance.
• Maintain inventory control by conducting periodic physical stock counts and reporting findings to head office.
• Ensure the safety and security of warehouse operations by establishing, enforcing, and monitoring Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and security procedures.
• Collaborate closely with respective business units to ensure prompt delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Create weekly and monthly activity reports.
• Provide assistance and/or work on special projects assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Logistic/Transportation, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Business Studies or related discipline.
• Experience as an assistant warehouse manager 5-10 years (manufacturing/retail/ warehousing and logistics field).
• Good knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Fluent in both spoken and written English is essential.
• Have good leadership, coordination and communication skills.
• Understand transport and custom clearance.
• Good at processing and analysing data.
• Able to work with teams and individuals.
• Have good communication skills.
• Able to work together under pressure.
