AlamatAccounts Assistant
- £23K - £26K per year (depending on experience)
- 36.25 hour per week, 9am - 515pm Monday to Friday
- Office based in Bulwell, Nottingham
Do you have experience of handling large transaction volumes in a busy Finance Department?
In this Accounts Assistant role, you will be working as part of an integral 7 person finance team at a multi-branch truck and van dealership. You will be providing support and completing a wide range tasks within the finance function. These will include:
- Accounts payable - managing the inbox, posting invoices, matching PO numbers, sending statements, reconciling and producing payment reports and credit control.
- Posting cash receipts and assisting with bank reconciliations.
- Assisting in implementing improved digital processes across the finance function.
- Supporting accounts receivable in dealing with queries and customer account reconciliations.
- Setting up new customer and supplier accounts.

There will be opportunities for you to develop with the company, but the finance team are currently undertaking big process projects (from manual systems to digital) and they want you to take a lead role with this in your position as an Accounts Assistant.
Also, importantly, this vacancy is office based and there is no hybrid work options or flexibility available with the working hours. This Accounts Assistant vacancy is only going to be suitable if you want to be office based as part of a proud and dedicated finance team.
What skills and experience you require to succeed in this role:
- You must have experience of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledger functions and possess double entry understanding.
- You must have strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ideally, you will have B2B credit control experience.
