Baker/Pastry Cook (Mid-Level) - Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort

Starting at $21.50/hour 

Role & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ability to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills including baking and decorating. The preparation of all pastry products for the Restaurants, Banquets and Daily Market under the guidance of the Pastry Chef.

Pastry Cooks must have open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

·        Ability to prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards

·        Knowledge of food safety handling policies and procedures

·        Ability to use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods

·        Attention to detail, organization and communication skills

·        Ability to work independently or as part of a team

·        Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds

·        Ability to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time

·        Previous experience as a pastry cook or related role

·        Knowledge of baking techniques and methods

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·        Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
