Creative Web Development Intern

Socium Consultancy is a corporate communication and business consultancy with HQ in Singapore. Started by a communications pracademic, Socium aims to provide businesses with the corporate communication service many would have thought was meant for the bigger firms. The concept of Corporate Communication-as-a-Service (CCaaS) was coined to provide bite-sized communication services for businesses hoping to build a brand reputation for themselves without having to hire an entire team.

The Opportunity

Socium Consultancy is offering two professional attachment/ internship opportunities for undergraduates or postgraduate students based in Jakarta. The Creative Web Development Internship at Socium is looking for driven and creative candidates who are keen to gain experience in strategic communications and business digitalisation.

The job responsibilities of the Creative Web Development Intern include:

• Handle day-to-day operations such as administrative duties and support client account managers
• SEO, UI/UX design and enhancements
• Web maintenance (mostly WordPress and Wix) for owned and client accounts
• Occasional graphic, photo and video editing
• Selected candidates with programming/ tech background will join the Tech/ R&D team for web and app development projects

Who We Are Looking For

To be eligible, the candidate should be a highly-motivated individual who is willing to learn and deliver results. The candidate should preferably be equipped with the following professional skills and qualifications:

• Undergraduate/ Postgraduate student in Computer Engineering, App/ Web Design or Digital Communication stream
• Interest in web design and marketing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Intermediate photography skills, with own equipment (preferably)
• Proactive, energetic and result-oriented
• Candidates with Google and social media advertising background will be preferred
• Conversant with photo and video editing (preferred and portfolio required, including school projects)
• Meticulous, independent and organised
