- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and develop innovative Chinese menus.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas into menu offerings.
- Prepare and cook Chinese dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and appearance of all dishes.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen.
- Conduct regular checks on ingredients and supplies to ensure freshness and quality.
- Work closely with other members of the culinary team to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff as needed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Chinese culinary techniques and a deep understanding of traditional and contemporary Chinese flavors.
- Stay informed about culinary trends and incorporate them into the Chinese cuisine offerings.
Work Experience
- Proven experience as a Demi Chef or relevant role, with a focus on Chinese cuisine.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques, ingredients, and regional variations.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and flavorful dishes.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and maintain composure during busy periods.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
