Job Specific Knowledge:
• Review mechanical engineering designs, drawings, and documents to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and codes.
• Collaborate with the design team, including mechanical engineers, designers, and any other disciplines, to address mechanical issues and ensure constructability.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide feedback on mechanical deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews to identify and resolve conflicts and ensure overall design integrity.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and consultants, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist with and if required prepare project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules
• Conduct or contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions
• If required, prepare and/or oversee the production of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports
• Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures
• Aid and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations, and write purchase orders.
Industry Specific Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering
• Prior experience in mining industry and/or resources industry is advantageous
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training (minimum):
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
• Registered in Professional Engineering Association (i.e: PII) is advantageous
