Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environment, safety, and health management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of relevant environmental, safety, and health regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations, and to develop and deliver safety training programs.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of environment, safety, and health policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance issues.
- Collaborate with departmental managers and supervisors to address safety and environmental concerns and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Analyze safety and environmental data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and propose corrective actions.
- Stay updated with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in environment, safety, and health management.
