Financial Planning & Analysis work focuses on short and long-term financial planning and/or financial analysis of business operations for the purpose of measuring and forecasting future business performance. Our team spends time analyzing both operational and financial data, building databases and providing reporting for all levels of management to ensure accurate decisions can be made.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional to join our esteemed finance team. As a FP&A individual contributor, you will play a pivotal role in our finance department, focusing on advanced financial analysis, costing model development, and driving insights for our global operations and commercial teams. This role requires an analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to analyze and forecast costs across different business units and geographies within the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and inputs necessary for building accurate financial costing models.
- Conduct variance analysis, identify key cost drivers, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate existing financial processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cost analysis.
- Generate regular reports and presentations for senior management, outlining key findings and actionable recommendations.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing valuable insights and analysis to guide financial planning.
- Analyzes historical trends, draws conclusions independently, and recommends potential courses of action based on discovery
- Experience in technology development financial modeling and analysis
- FedEx OpCo specific experience, or transportation experience, considered a plus
- SAFe Agile framework knowledge and application within FedEx technology development including application to Finance processes and procedures
- Proactively mentors less senior team members through projects/analyses

- Able to consistently meet deadlines and work as a member of cross functional teams to meet deadlines as well
- Strong written and verbal communication including the ability to clearly articulate recommendations and adapt messaging to audience. Includes the ability to effectively develop a presentation based on an abstract idea with limited leadership input
- Ability to define a complex abstract problem, identify a solution including alternatives, successfully influence stakeholders, and successfully develop the agreed upon solution

Additional Information
Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, California, Rhode Island, Washington, Hawaii, Illinois and New Jersey Residents Only - Compensation: Monthly Salary: $6,607.00 - $12,440.00. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include but are not limited to your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
