Overview
To lead & ensure site Environmental, Health & Safety for the entire Greenfield construction site in line with PepsiCo EHS standards and local regulation while working with contractors, consultants and PepsiCo OEMs
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop, if required, the necessary EHS standards to ensure the environmental, health and safety of associates, visitors and contractors are complying with Pepsico standard and law.
- To Implement, sustain and participate in the continual improvement of the EHS Management System (MS) at the plant level in accordance to the legislations, PepsiCo GEHSMS and relevant EHS standards,
- To ensure proper controls for all hazards and risks associated with all construction activities. Carrying out safety risks assessments prior to starting a new project
- Reviewing all work procedures and ensuring they meet industry safety standards.
- Identify EHS training needs for the all (employees, Dependent contractors, independent contractors and 3rd parties), prepare and execute training programs accordingly in line with the construction management company.
- Ensure all accidents and reported hazards are investigated and proper C/PA are identified, monitor and support the implementation.
- Ensure that entire GF design is in line with PepsiCo EHS standards , MESS complaint and in line with FM global requirements. Advise on projects at all stages (design to completion) to ensure all EHS requirements are met.
- Sponsor and support all EHS initiatives and ensure Reward and Recognition for all employees who have contributed to the enhancement of the EHS in the workplace.
- Co-ordinate the efforts of and coach associates through the development of critical documentation and tools to support risk assessments, safe work practices and adverse event/near miss reporting & investigation.
- Provide EHS direction, assistance and support for corrective actions and recommendations to assure site EHS improvements.
- Develop and implement site workplace inspections and audits to identify work hazards and exposures. Determine trends and action plans and corrective actions.
- Ensure all regulatory documentation and records are maintained and reported timely
- Review and assist in the development of new facilities and processes to ensure optimum EHS practices are integrated as part of the change.
- Be leadership and development of professional and administrative environmental & safety specialists, ensure all environmental programs, procedures, training, work practices and controls are effectively implemented for transmission assets
- Managing environmental processes within site operations to assure proper waste management and minimization practices in accordance with regulatory requirements & company standard.
- Develop environmental regulatory requirements and risk initiatives; analyze potential impacts on system operations; provide operations and upper management with information as appropriate.
- Ensuring timely environmental technical support to site transmission assets. This support will be provided in the areas of regulatory compliance, reporting, testing, EHS data management, enforcement action response, and regulatory agency mediation.
- Work closely with site leadership to ensure continual improvement and compliance in EHS activities.
- To lead WWTP construction , installation & commissioning and plant operation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor/ master's degree of Occupational Health & Safety or Engineering from a reputed University
- Minimum 8 years' experience in Safety and Environmental management in construction management & plant operations.
- Be skilled and knowledgeable in hazard and exposure identification, auditing, and inspections; conducting Environmental, Health and Safety training and related governmental reporting requirements.
- Have a solid, demonstrable working knowledge of local regulatory compliance requirements.
- Good training and presentation skills, techniques, applications, and practices.
- Be able to develop a trend analysis process to eliminate accident/injury and drive for environmental management, WWT goals.
- Good communication in English but well versed with local conditions.
- Good computer literature in Microsoft office.
