Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a Legal Intern who is a current law or a recent law school graduate passionate about aviation or keen to join a diverse business. You will be part of the core legal team overseeing the flight and aviation business. You will be based in Jakarta.

Purpose of Role

Provide professional and practical legal advice fused with commercial sense as well as to provide compliance and governance support.

Accountabilities

  • Perform legal research, legal filling and review of relevant legal documentation.

  • Help identify legal risks and alternative strategies in a defined area;

  • Ensure documents accurately reflect business and commercial concerns and are consistent with legal obligations.

  • Appropriately resolves common legacy and liability issues that may have a legal impact

  • Work as part of a team and with both internal and external stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Contribute to the team and future legal initiatives with focus on operational excellence, continuous improvement and driving sustainable culture of change.

Experience and Qualifications required

  • Fluent written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.

  • Completed a Bachelor's Degree in Law.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in explaining legal concepts and issues in simple language to non-lawyers and provide succinct, accurate and comprehensible legal advice.

  • Ability to understand and take account of business drivers and needs, and to draft contract with appropriate understanding and interpretation of the business and commercial intentions;

  • Good influencing, negotiating and facilitation skills

  • At least 1 year of work experience - pupilage or internship
