Job description :
- Organize and monitor export shipments, prepare required documents, coordinate with forwarders for booking and obtain customer approval for draft documents, and send pre-alert notifications.
- Provide shipping quotations based on customer inquiries.
- Maintain strong relationships with international customers, suppliers, and partners, and other departments to support overall company efficiency.
- Optimize shipping and logistics costs for maximum efficiency and profitability and monitor and control expenses related to import/export operations.
- Address and resolve problems related to export and import activities and customer inquiries.
- Provide Monthly Freight Cost Report to the accounting department, submit weekly Order reports to management, and update shipping reports in a timely manner.
- Verify freight bill invoices, ensuring alignment with quotations and rate cards and input data into reports to prevent double billing.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 years experience and possess in-depth knowledge of export-import documents with a keen eye for detail.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience in a cargo company is a plus.
- Understand various shipment methods, including FCL, LCL, Airfreight, International courier, local trucking, and local courier.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, HS codes, Certificate of Origin (COO), and updated customs regulations in Indonesia and international rules.
- Demonstrate good problem-solving skills related to export and import activities.
- Actively seek competitive forwarders and couriers for cost efficiency and improved services.
- Exhibit strategic planning abilities to arrange export and import shipments even in last-minute situations.
