Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department in a manufacturing industry setting. This includes supervising and training maintenance staff, developing and implementing maintenance procedures and schedules, and ensuring that all maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner, implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. The Maintenance Supervisor also plays a key role in ensuring that the manufacturing facility is operating safely and efficiently.
Key Performance Areas and Key Activities
Safety and Compliance
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the maintenance team follows all industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Equipment Maintenance & Preventive Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections and coordinate equipment servicing to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Develop and execute a preventive maintenance program to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including equipment histories, maintenance logs, and spare parts inventory.
Tool Kit Management
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, and lead efforts to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Assist in preparing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
- Procure necessary spare parts, tools, and equipment within budget constraints.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors when specialized expertise or equipment is required.
- Review and approve service contracts, and monitor vendor performance.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and establish work schedules to ensure optimal coverage during production shifts.
- Identify training needs for the maintenance team and facilitate ongoing skill development to enhance technical capabilities.
- Keep the team updated on emerging technologies and best practices in the industry.

Requirement
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 year experience as Maintenance Supervisor, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
- Candidate must be around age 30 until 40 years
- Familiar with wire and/or gabion industry (pneumatic and hydraulic system, PLC system)
- Computer skills for record-keeping and data analysis.
